Turnaround

How long does an order take?

Enter your ZIP and we'll show you the exact day it lands on your doorstep — printed and delivered, not "ships in." The clock starts the moment you place your order; your design goes straight to the press, with nothing to wait on in between.

Your delivery date
Free shippingAdd your ZIP for an exact in-hand date.
Why we can promise a date: we print in-house on our own presses rather than farming your job out, so production runs on a schedule we control — not a queue at somebody else's shop.

Can you hit a deadline that's sooner than that?

Ask. Tell us the date you actually need it in hand and we'll give you a straight answer — including "no," if that's the truth. We'd rather turn a job down than blow your event.

Big or complex orders

Multiple garments, several print locations, or heavy embroidery can add a few days. If yours will, we tell you up front — rather than letting the date quietly slide.

Do I see it before it prints?

Yes, always. We send you a free mockup of your artwork on the actual garment, the same business day — before you pay anything. Nothing goes on a press until you have seen it and said go.

Artwork

What file should I send?

Best to worst:

  • Vector (.ai, .eps, .pdf, .svg) — scales to any size, always sharp. Ideal.
  • High-res PNG with a transparent background — great, especially for DTF.
  • A JPG off your phone — send it anyway. We'll tell you honestly whether it'll hold up.
Don't have a usable file? That's normal, and it's not a problem. Our shop has been prepping art for thirty years — we redraw rough artwork as part of the job. Send what you've got.

Do you charge design or setup fees?

No design fees, no screen fees, no setup fees on screen print or DTF. The price you see is the price.

Embroidery included. Converting your artwork into a stitch file — digitizing — is real work, and most shops bill $50 to $100 for it. We absorb it.

Can you match my exact brand colours?

Yes. If you have Pantone (PMS) numbers, send them and we'll mix to them. If you don't, we'll match as closely as ink and fabric allow — matching brand colours is something the shop has done for thirty years.

I don't have a design at all.

Bring us something to work from — a logo, a sketch, text you want set, even a rough photo — and we'll clean it up and get it print-ready. We're not a design studio and don't create artwork from scratch, but if you've got the raw pieces, thirty years of prepping art means we can usually make them work. Not sure what you have is enough? Send it over and we'll tell you straight.

Print methods

Which one do I want?

  • Screen print — the workhorse. Best value on runs of 24+ with a handful of ink colours. Durable, and the cost drops hard as quantity climbs.
  • DTF — full colour, photographs, gradients, and small runs. Starts at 6 pieces, no setup. If your art has lots of colours, this usually beats screen print by a mile.
  • Embroidery — polos, caps, jackets, anything you want to feel premium. Stitched, not printed. Doesn't fade.
You don't have to work this out. Tell us the garment, the quantity and what the artwork looks like, and we'll tell you which method suits it and why — including when the cheaper one is the right answer.

Do you charge extra for a white underbase?

No. Printing on dark garments usually needs a white layer underneath the colour. A lot of shops itemise that as an extra ink colour. We don't — it's included.

Sizing & fit

How do I know what to order?

For a group, the usual spread lands around 10% S · 25% M · 30% L · 20% XL · 15% 2XL+ — but it depends entirely on your crew. If you can collect actual sizes, do; you'll waste fewer shirts.

Do bigger sizes cost more?

Yes, slightly — 2XL and up carry a small upcharge, because the blank itself costs us more. It's itemised on your quote when you pick sizes, and it only applies to those sizes, not the whole order.

Do the shirts fit differently?

Yes, and it matters more than people expect:

  • Gildan 5000 — classic, roomy, heavy cotton. The dependable team shirt.
  • Bella+Canvas 3001 — modern retail fit, softer and slimmer. What people actually re-wear.
  • Comfort Colors 1717 — garment-dyed, heavyweight, lived-in from day one.

Pricing & minimums

Is there a minimum order?

Screen print starts at 24 pieces. Embroidery and DTF both start at 6.

Six is our floor across the board. We're a bulk shop — below that, the shipping and setup cost more than the shirts, and we'd rather be straight with you than quietly pad the price.

Why does the price drop so much at higher quantities?

Because most of the cost of screen printing is in the setup, not the shirts. Once the press is running, each extra shirt is cheap — and we pass that on rather than pocketing it. We show you the next price break on your quote, so you can see whether adding a few more pieces actually lowers your total.

Is shipping extra?

No. Shipping is built into the price you see. No surprise at checkout.

Do you do bigger / recurring orders?

Yes — that's most of what we do. Large runs get our best rate and a real person on your account. Ask for a quote →

Returns

Can I return custom apparel?

No — and this is standard across the whole industry, for a simple reason: your shirts have your logo on them. We can't resell them to anyone. Custom orders go into production immediately and are final once placed. That's about changing your mind, though — if we got the job wrong or missed your date, that's a different thing entirely, and the next two answers cover it.

Which is why we send the mockup first. Give it a careful look — check the spelling, the colours, the placement. What you approve is exactly what prints, and once you approve it, it heads straight to the press.

What if you get it wrong?

Then it's on us, and we fix it. If we misprint your job, send the wrong garment or size, or the work is defective, we'll reprint it or refund you — your call.

Just email support@merchylo.com within 14 days of delivery and send a photo. The photo is so we can see what happened and get the fix moving the same day — most of the time it tells us everything we need. We'll send you a prepaid label for the misprinted goods; shipping them back is on us, not you. Once they're on the way, your reprint goes on the press or your refund goes through.

No fight, no runaround. We've been printing for thirty years; we know the difference between our mistake and buyer's remorse, and we own ours.

What if it shows up late?

The delivery date on your quote is the date we hold ourselves to — it's a real date for your exact job, not a guess. If your order misses it because of something on our end — a production delay, a scheduling mistake, a press problem — that's on us.

Here the shirts are usually fine, they just showed up after you needed them, so you pick what actually helps: keep them and take money back, or send them back for a full refund on our prepaid label. Most people keep them. Either way, same 14-day window and the same email.

If the carrier is the problem after the boxes leave our dock — a weather shutdown, a truck that never scans, a package sitting in the wrong hub — we'll chase it with them and refund your shipping, and we'll do everything we can to get you covered for your date. What we can't promise is a refund on the printing for a delay we didn't cause and can't control. We'd rather tell you that now than at 6pm the night before your event.

What if I ordered the wrong sizes?

Honestly — that one's on you, and we can't take those back. Size your group carefully before you order. If you're unsure, ask us and we'll help you plan the spread.

Still have a question?

Ask a real person. We answer the same business day.
